*There was a meeting at 4-4:30 that I went to that talked about what the plan was for next week dealing with speech day/night and picnic day.

Today I got up, got ready, ate breakfast, and got to the school around 8. I then got materials and the board ready, talked to Mr. Engelbert about the day's plan and what we were going to day.
The day then carried on like normal until the class party. During this time, the parents brought in popcorn and fresh fruit as snacks for the kids. Some students then showered their presentation about some activities they had done this year. Next, the parents gave Mr. Engelbert and I some gifts. I was giving two packets of Australian picture books, some magnets and a sign to put in my future classroom, and a packet of solar system erasers. This was so awesome and I am so grateful for these. The party was really fun, but the students got popcorn all over and were being crazy. Students need structure, but at this age they should be able to be flexible and take on whatever comes in to their day scheduled or not.
After school then, I corrected some work and got the board ready for the next day before the meeting. After the meeting then, I got my stuff packed up and headed to the bus stop, then the train station, and got a train to Circular Quay where I was going to meet a friend from Spain who I had meet in Queenstown, New Zealand! We were supposed to meet around 5:20, but she asked if we could meet around 6 because she wasn't going to make it on time. I said this was perfect because I had been wanting to walk around the botanical gardens so this was great. I walked around the gardens until about 6 and then I met my friend, we went and got our tickets for the orchestra and the headed to the Opera Bar to get a drink and catch up while we waited.
After awhile then, we walked to a fish and chips place so I could get some fries. I wasn't super hungry so the fries were perfect.
While we were walked back though, I was walked and eating and a stupid seagull came down and stole my half eaten fry out of my fingers. I couldn't believe it! They have no fear and they are so annoying.
We then got back to by the Opera House and chatted until around 8 when the performance was going to start.
We then took our seats. There was three songs performed. The orchestra played for all three but for the first one a lady sang (opera), a man sang for the second (opera), and the same lady but different man sang for the last (more opera). This lasted from 8-10:15ish. My friend and I both agreed that it was good, but we weren't much for opera singing.
After the performance then, we walked together to the train station, said our goodbyes, then she left to walk back to her hostel, and I got a train to go home.
I got home around 11:30, talked to Jeanette, then went straight to bed. For those of you wondering, no I haven't died, I've just been super busy and tired but I'm working on updating it so don't worry and I'm sorry for the delay.
